A Point of Sale(POS) system is the place where your customer makes a payment for products or services at your store. Odoo Point of Sale can be used online or offline on Android tablets, iPads or laptops. In a store, a POS is used where the checkout happens, orders are processed and bills are paid. Odoo POS generates brief sales reports i.e. depend on product, hour, employee, total retail amount, net profit, profit percentage, etc.

The POS settings shall enable coupons and promotions. The product menu option will provide the feasibility to create coupons and promotions as per the business needs. Moreover, the system shall quickly check the validity of a coupon code and allow a discount on the bill amount.

Promotion Program

After clicking on the checkbox of Coupon and Promotion. Now you can click on the Promotion Program feature and configure it.

After clicking on the Create button. Now you can enter the following details like Program Name, Conditions: Based on Customers, Based on Products, Validity: Apply on first, Start date, End date, Quantity, Minimum Purchase Of, Promo Code Usage.

Now you can enter the following details like Rewards: Applicability, Reward, Apply Discount, Reward Line Product, Apply Discount, Reward Line Product, Discount Apply On, Max Discount Amount, etc.

Coupon Program

Now you can configure the Coupon Program under the Product tab.

Now you can configure the new Coupon Program to click on the create button.

Now you can fill the following fields to create the Coupon Program: Program Name, Conditions: Based on Products, Quantity, Minimum Purchase of, Company, Validity Duration, Reward, Apply Discount, Discount Apply On, Max Discount Amount.

Now you can click on the Generate Coupons button and fill the following details: Generation type, Number of Coupons.

Custom Display Screen

• Now you can tick the checkbox of Custom Display Screen:
  This field indicates checkout to customers through a second display

Gift Card

>> In Odoo Point of Sale module, you can click on the Gift Card option.
>> After click on the checkbox then you can use gift cards to apply different kinds of discounts for products.

To add customer notes:

In Customer Notes Option: You can add notes on order lines to be printed on receipt and invoice.

Ship Later Configuration

>> In ship later configuration, you can sell the products at situation and deliver it later

Product info display

After clicking on the checkbox of Product info display feature, you can display the Product info page when a product with optional products are added in the customer cart.
