Payroll in Odoo:
Odoo V15 Payroll Management Modules is complete details and records of the employees related to their salary, Generates Pay-slips, computes all allowances and deductions, Manages salary adjustments, bonus. The payroll module of Odoo is the most advanced solution to efficiently manage Payroll activities. Through the Odoo Payroll Module, we can specify salary rules and define the salary structure of an employee in any job role. It is a simple and effective platform for managing all payroll procedures for employees within a company.
In this blog we will talk about the insight of the dashboard of the Payroll Module in Odoo V15.
To use the payroll module, this module should be installed in your Odoo database. If this is not installed then go to the Odoo app store and install from there. After installation it will show you in your Odoo database. Right now this module is installed for me so I will just click on this icon and come to its dashboard. For reference you can see the screenshot below.
Above image is the dashboard of the payroll module. On the dashboard you can see the various tabs such as Contracts, Work Entries, Payslips, Reporting and Configuration. You can also see the list of employees with the details such as Name of the Employee, Hire Date, Contract Name, Start Date, Status and Number of Contracts.
You can see the dashboard in List view and Kanban view. Above image is the List view of the Payroll Module dashboard.
Above screenshot is the kanban view of the payroll module dashboard. If you want to view the detailed information about the employee then you can click on any of the employee names and you will come to the new window with complete detail about the particular employee. Let me show you how. Let’s click on the first employee and the name of the employee is Keith Byrd’s.
From the above screenshot you can see the complete details about the employee like how many hours he works per week, for which department he belongs to, what his job position, what is yearly cost of the employee, what is monthly wage of the employee, when he starts to work, when his contract end, when he started to working again with this company, when his contract will be end etc.
Now let’s come to the dashboard again. You can see the filters and group by options available on the dashboard top.
Filters: When you click on the filter then you can filter the employee on the basis of running contracts, Contracts to review, No contracts, Currently under contract, active employees and you can also add other filters also with the help of “Add custom filter”. For reference you can see the screenshot below.
Group By: You can group by the employee with the help of the group by option. When you click on the group by then you can see the various options such as Job Position, Status, Reference working time, salary structure type and you create more options with the help of “Add custom group. For reference you can see the screenshot below.
From the left side of the dashboard screen, you can see the various options available such as Company, Department and Status. With this option you can also filter the employees. For example, when you click on the All then you will see all the employee’s name according to the respective company. When you click on the department then you will see the list of departments. Suppose you will click on the Research & Development department then you can see employees only related to this department. For reference you can see the screenshot below.
Now let’s talk about the tabs available on the top of the dashboard.
Contacts: When you click on the contacts tab then you can see the drop- down menu with three options such as Employees, Contracts, Salary Attachments.
Employees: When you click on the employee’s tab then a new window will appear with the list of employee’s names and their details. For reference you can see the screenshot below.
If you want to create a new employee then you can create it with the help of the create button.
Contracts: When you click on the contracts then a new window will appear and you can see the name of the employee with their contract details. For reference you can see the screenshot below.
If you want to create a new contract then you can click on the create button as highlighted in the screenshot above.
Salary Attachments: When you click on this option then a new window will appear. For reference you can see the screenshot below.
If you want to create a new salary attachment then you can click on the create button.
Work Entries: When you click on the contacts tab then you can see the drop-down menu with three options such as Work Entries, Conflicts, Time Off to Report.
Work Entries: When you select the work entries option then you will come to the work entries window.
You can see the work entries of April 2022 with the employee’s name. You can generate payslip from here with the help of “Generate Payslip Button”. You can see the work entries by Day, week and month also. For reference you can see the screenshot above.
Conflicting: When you select the conflict option from the drop -down menu then you will see the conflict work entries employees only. For reference you can see the screenshot below.
Time Off to Report: When you select the Time Off to report option from the drop-down menu then you will see the only employee who takes time off for their different purpose. For reference you can see the screenshot below.
Payslips: When you click on the Payslips tab then you can see the drop-down menu with three options such as To Pay, All Payslips, Batches. For reference you can see the screenshot below.
To Pay: When you select the To Pay option from the drop -down menu then you will see the only employee who will have to pay.
Right now there is no employee whom you are gonna have to pay.
All Payslips: When you select the All-Payslips option from the drop down menu then you will see all payslips list.
Batches : When you select the Batches option from the drop down menu then you will see all the batches.
Right now there is no payslip batch available, if you want then you can create with the help of the “Create Button”.
Reporting: When you click on the reporting tab then you can see the drop-down menu with three options such as Payroll, Work Entry Analysis, Salary Attachment Report. For reference you can see the screenshot below.
Payroll: When you click on the payroll tab then you can see the payroll Analysis report.
Work Entry Analysis: When you click on the work entry analysis option then you can see the work entry analysis report.
You can measure the work entries analysis on the basis of days and count. You can see the “Insert In Spreadsheet” button also. With this option you can insert this data into a spreadsheet.
Salary Attachment Report: When you click on the Salary attachment report option then a new window will open. For reference you can see the screenshot below.
You can measure the salary attachment report on the basis of Assignment of Salary, Attachment of salary, Child support and count. You can see the “Insert In Spreadsheet” button also. With this option you can insert this data into a spreadsheet.
Configuration: When you click on the configuration tab then you can see the drop down menu with various options such as settings, work entry types, working times, salary structure types, salary structures, salary rule, rules parameter, other input types, advantages, personal info and resume.
