Configuring of Lead time:

Setting up the product-level lead time

 Supplier lead time:

Supplier lead time is the time needed for the supplier to deliver the product. At the same time you want to configure the supplier lead time:

Go in the Inventory tab to select a product. At that time you will have to add a vendor to your product in order to select a supplier lead time.

Now you can select a vendor then click on Add an Item button and fill the following fields like  Product Variant, Vendor, Vendor Product Name, Vendor Product Code, Delivery Lead Time, Minimal Quantity, Price, Validity.  Here the scheduled delivery days is the amount of the date of the purchase order and delivery lead time.


Customer lead time:

The time taken for transferring the product from the warehouse and later delivering it to the customers is called customer lead time. In Odoo, one can seamlessly configure the customer lead time for any product.
To set this up first select a product, later go to the sales tab and from there specify the customer lead time.

Manufacturing lead time:

At the same page, it is possible to configure the Manufacturing Lead Time as well. Manufacturing lead time is the time needed to manufacture the product.

At the company level, it is possible to configure security days in order to cope with eventual delays and to be sure to meet your engagements. The idea is to subtract backup days from the computed scheduled date in case of delays.

 Route level lead time:

The internal transfers that a product might do due to the movement of stocks can also influence the computed date.

The delays due to internal transfers can be specified in the inventory app when creating a new push rule in a route.

Now Go to the push rules section on a route form to set a delay.

Sale order-level lead time:

It is used to enables insert the date requested by the client. In the sales tab, there will be a space indicating this. There will already be a theoretically computed date if the date requested by the client is early, then on the corresponding date, Odoo sets a warning to notify the user.
